This article proposes to develop a dialogue between Socioemotional Development and Inacian Pedagogy in the context of Early Childhood Education at a Jesuit Education College in Porto Alegre, Colégio Anchieta. Therefore, the analysis of one of the documents that guides the educational work of this institution was carried out, in addition to a semistructured interview with the coordinator of the Educational Guidance Service of the college, characterizing research of a qualitative nature. The question that guided the present research was: How does Social-Emotional Development dialogue with Inacian Pedagogy? Throughout the research, the importance of playing for the development of the child was verified.
