Abstract

Innovation is part of everyday business, with an increasingly competitive market, today more than ever, innovating is essential for any institution to survive in the globalized world. Innovating is one of the main foundations for economic development, through the emergence of technologies. The interactions between government-business-university play a significant role in regional / local development. The Triple Helix is a model of innovation based on the knowledge economy that aims to contribute to economic development. In this context, the present research aims to understand how this business model collaborates for the development of the Creative Industries in the city of Recife. The Creative Industries are business models in which the main raw material is human creativity. For this work we searched as a research universe the companies embarked in the Digital Port of Recife, Technological Park that distributes them in companies in companies of Information Technology and companies of Creative Economy. With this, we tried to present how the interaction between the agents of the Triple Helix participated in the promotion of the Creative Industries in Recife.
