This work presents propositions of improvements for Avenue Unisinos, located in the district Cristo Rei, in the city of São Leopoldo / RS. In the geometry question, it is sought to give greater fluidity to the transit by implanting an auxiliary route and a landing area, besides a bicycle path. Already in the drainage, the main focus is in the manhole located in the road. Through the hydrological studies, it was analyzed if the device is attending to the flow to which it is submitted. Initially, an approach was taken to subjects related to road drainage and geometry through theoretical foundation and a brief presentation of three other works related to the avenue. Then in the methodology, the way the work was developed for the hydrological studies is presented: the concentration time was calculated by the Picking formula and the precipitation by the method of Otto Pfafstetter; for the calculation of the flow, the Rational Method was used, because the basin is less than 4km², and finally, the device was defined according to the Manual of DNIT - IPR 724 and its installation executed according to the Norm DNIT 025 / 2004 - ES. Already for the project of the auxiliary track and the bike path, the software DataGeosis was used, the source of the materials was the same one adopted in previous works and the resources used for the budget of the work are in agreement with SICRO and SINAPI. In the analysis of results the study seeks to find the solution to the drainage problem. It is also analyzed, according to the Manual DNER - IPR 706, if the geometric design complies with the required parameters. At the end of the work, it is concluded that the manhole needs to be changed. Finally, the proposed improvements for geometry and drainage of the Avenue Unisinos, based on SICRO and SINAPI, were budgeted for, and the total of the work resulted in R $ 941,226.47.
