Para além da técnica: a formação integral e seus impactos na vida dos egressos de cursos técnicos

The theme of this research is the integral education proposed by the Companhia de Jesus and its social impact on the lives of students enrolled in technical courses at the Escola Técnica de Eletrônica Francisco Moreira da Costa. The problematizing question was: “To what extent does the integral education, proposed by the Companhia de Jesus, impact socially on the lives of the graduates of the technical courses of the Escola Técnica de Eletrônica Francisco Moreira da Costa? ”. The general objective of this research was to evaluate to what extent the proposal of comprehensive Jesuit formation socially impacts the lives of graduates of technical courses at ETE FMC. This is a qualitative research, using interviews with the graduates and secondary data collected from the contracted survey. The research design adopted was the studied case. In addition to the use of secondary data, data collection took place through semi-structured interviews and document analysis, seeking to understand the impacts planned by the institution, perceived by the students and achieved by the graduates. In order to reach the objectives, it was taken up the proposal of integral formation of the Companhia de Jesus and elements present in the formation proposal of ETE FMC. In addition, a historic data from educational institutions of high school and technical formation in Brazil was made and concepts related to education, work, vocational education, youth and, finally, evaluation were studied. The theoretical reference was based on documents from the Companhia de Jesus and the authors Manacorda, Marx and Engels, Barbosa and Deluiz, Schwartzman, Kuenzer, Afonso, Souza, Scriven, among others. The research results confirm that the institution has a positive impact on the graduates’ lives; however, from the analysis of documents, secondary data and the interviews, points of fragility are indicated. As a mediation, the study proposed a plan with a multiples actions, aimed at strengthening the points identified as fragile.Nenhuma
