This work aims to analyze the influence of authentic leadership in a team’s results, in the perception of its team members. This study considers that a leader is a change agent, whose acts affect others in a deeper way. It was considered in this study the Luthans and Avolio (2003) concept of authentic leadership, which is defined as the process based on positive psychological capacities, in a highly developed organizational environment, that results in a higher self-consciousness and positive self-regulated behaviors in both leaders and followers, promoting positive self-development. Aligned with the phenomenological paradigm, this research adopted the descriptive method, using quanti-quali methodology for data collection and analysis. A semi-structured interview was conducted with Regionals Managers, clerks from the highest scoring teams and clerks from the teams with the lowest scores in the last four semesters. In addition to that, a survey was applied to the attendants of Banco X's unmanaged customer groups in Rio Grande do Sul.
