A Escola Superior de Advocacia do Piauí (ESA-PI) e a formação continuada feminina: narrativas de egressas (2007 a 2018)

This dissertation sought to investigate the relations between the professional trajectory and the continued education of women lawyers who had studied at the Superior School of Law of Piauí (ESA-PI) in the period of 2007 and 2018, considering their narratives. The main research question was: on the basis of the narratives of former students, which would be the relations between the professional trajectory and the continued education of women lawyers who studied at the Superior School of Law of Piauí (ESA-PI) in the period of 2007 and 2018? The group that composed the base of this empirical analysis was formed by eight lawyers who studied at ESA-PI between 2007 and 2018. In addition to the interviews, the empirical data also included documents from the archives of ESA-PI, such as bookkeeping of registers of enrollment records, daily registrations, cards with students' personal data, among others. As results, it is highlighted that, in the discourses of the participants of this research, it was evident that the courses of specialization in the ESA-PI contributed to the trajectory of these lawyers, having propitiated education in the legal area, and enriching their résumés, given that this institution is appraised by lawyers and by the whole society of the State of Piauí. Moreover, the challenges faced by the interviewed lawyers throughout their educational path were evident, since they had to manage time between the professional career and the attributions related to the domestic tasks in the private context. In this direction, a constant attributing to women the responsibility for taking care of the house, the husband, and children, independently of their professional aspirations. As a result, the study identified the main aspects of the trajectory of these women lawyers who led them to study at ESAPI, as well as the relationship between this training and their participation in the labor market. The different contexts of these experiences were analyzed, as well as the presented approaches, especially in relation to the naturalization of gender roles.Nenhuma
