Filosofia do Design: desenho de uma disciplina
Descripción
This dissertation has its horizons of research in the field of Philosophy of Design. The shared background assumes a culture of design as the third intellectual culture, just as the intellectual cultures in the sciences and humanities. As a propaedeutic study in the discipline of Design, this research is divided into two parts: (i) an understanding of contribution possibilities from the scientific culture and (ii) the sketch of Philosophy of Design as a subdiscipline of Design. For the former, the Dascalian Theory of Controversies is introduced. In the latter, the study sketched a comparison in the studies of technology between Philosophy of Technology and Philosophy of Design regarding the questioning of technique through metadesign as defined in Strategic Design. In results and concluding remarks, the study suggests the polemics in the sciences as a bold aspect from the scientific culture of interest of Design as a discipline. Moreover, in sketching Philosophy of Design, limited by a lack of controversy in theorising metadesign, this study suggests the displacement of the questioning of technique to Design in the following: a movement from a specific intellectual tradition towards the object of study [in Philosophy of Technology] to a movement from the object of study towards one or more intellectual traditions [in Philosophy of Design]. In the spirit of the Dascalian Theory of Controversies, the questioning remains as an open call in theorising Design and its own intellectual culture.CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior
