This research deals with the impact of infotainment (DEJAVITE, 2006; AMARAL, 2008) on the practices of cultural journalism, focusing on the production of news from the culture center of Folha de S. Paulo (websites Ilustrada and F5). The purpose of this study is to understand the particularities of the infotainment logic regarding the choice of guidelines, the influence on news values (SILVA, 2014) ) and the relationship with the audience (BARSOTTI, 2014). To reflect on the subject in a complex way, it was necessary to deepen questions such as the characteristics of cultural journalism, the concept of culture, the valuation of the leisure industry, aspects of market journalism and the approach to the concept of diversional journalism (ASSIS, 2018). The follow-up of the practices was ethnographic inspiration (TRAVANCAS, 2006, LAKE, 2007; RYFE, 2018) and was supported by interviews and a field diary that were later contrasted with the materials produced by the journalists during the observation period. In the analysis of the data obtained, it was possible to conclude that the characteristics of infotenimento, intimately linked to the search for capturing the reader's attention, impact the production of the news in different ways, from the conception of the agenda to the execution of the stories, from editing the report to the concern to gain visibility via the cover of news sites and shares on social networks. However, it was also understood that there is a complete departure from journalistic techniques, but rather a hybrid format between information and entertainment.CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior
