Memórias de uma instituição de ensino superior em Belém do Pará : uma história da Escola de Agronomia da Amazônia (1945-1972)
Descripción
This is a historiographic study of an institution of Agricultural Higher Education, in Belém-PA. The work has as a locus the Escola de Agronomia da Amazônia (EAA), created by Decree-Law 8,290 of December 5, 1945. The period of this research, from 1945 to 1972, is related to the time of existence of the school. The study is part of the History of Education and has the History of Culture as a theoretical reference and Oral History as a methodology. Its objective is to produce a history of EAA with a centrality in the memories of students and teachers, in order to identify and analyze elements of the school culture produced in that institution, which make it possible to understand the idiosyncrasies related to the training process in Agronomy in the established period. The documentation analyzed was constituted of memory narratives of 13 students and/or teachers interviewed. Iconographic documents, journalistic narratives, legislation, official documents and a video of the project "The UFPA and the Years of Lead: memories, traumas, silences and educational culture (1964-1985)" were added to the corpus. From the analysis of the set of documents, it is inferred that there was a school culture at EAA, resulting from a set of practices shared by the subjects belonging to that academic community, which is visible through the memories that produced representations of time and place. The school was a precursor of federal agricultural education in the Amazon region and formed a range of agronomists who contributed to regional and national agricultural development.Nenhuma
