The paving branch is considered one of the most important and strategic branches for the economic growth of Brazil. There is an increasing need for continuous improvement in the types of pavements applied, thus requiring an accurate study of the different asphalt manufacturing methods. And in the midst of all this plot, Security seeks to establish its focus on prevention, always carrying out interventions through corrections of process or project errors, being studied the cases of failures or nonconformities existing in the processes, thus avoiding the consequences that may represent the accident. However, even though NR 12 requires an analysis in the new projects, in order to reduce the chance of an accident with the equipment, there are still areas for improvement. In many cases, in the quest to extract the best use of equipment by increasing productivity, manufacturers and operators end up choosing not to add locking items to the systems. There are still those who fail to insert preventive instruments in the search for a short-term cost reduction. However, in the long run the costs of accidents can be large or even incalculable, since human life is priceless. In this way, the need arises to adapt the equipment so that the production and maintenance teams can be assured of the acceptable level of safety at work. Therefore, this work seeks to identify necessary adaptations in an asphalt plant in order to present it safer and within the specifications of NR12, through a careful analysis was verified in NR12 which points should be suitable for an asphalt plant and on a visit to a company that owns a manufacturing plant in 2015, that is after the application of the standard was evaluated if the equipment is adequate or needs improvements so that they do not have penalties from the Ministry of labor because they are inadequate to NR12. The results were surprising, since the equipment despite being manufactured in 2015, is not 100% in accordance with the requirements of the NR12, reinforcing that it is not yet fully inserted in the analysis of the manufacturers to meet the requirements of the regulation.
