Descrição
This article aims to examine the existence of GeoGebra software contributions as a possibility of teaching first functions and second grades in high school. It features a routine activities proposed to the students, and considerations made by the researcher, coming from observations and questions. The survey was conducted in a public school in the city of Esteio - RS, with qualitative approach. The data were collected using two strategies: 1) analysis of the activities developed by the students during five periods of math classes fifty minutes each; 2) study the answers given by the students to two questionnaires at different times, one before the use of GeoGebra and another after the proposed activities. The study found that although students to present certain difficulties in the concept of function as the main positive results, it became clear that GeoGebra added and collaborated on the study of certain questions about functions, particularly with regard to growth and decrease of Function. Students answered questions about domain and a function. Experience with the use of GeoGebra also contributed to the interest and enthusiasm of students to learn to use new software, in a different way than we had proposed, unlike my concern in the sense of finding a lot of information in an initial screen of the program.
