The publication in July 2014 revision of the government resolution NR 16 (Annex 4), about the activities and operations regarding electricity has achieved a great importance regarding the control of permits to workers and contractors to the intervention in electrical installations, considering the already existing government resolution NR 10. Among the many possible scenarios, it highlights the risks of additional unnecessary income payment for electrical risk exposure, risk exposure to not adequately skilled workers and other related to liability issues. Thus, it is necessary to improve concepts regarding the differentiation of professional clear criteria who will be allowed to work in electrical installations, considering the electric power systems and consumption, voltage levels defined among high, low and extra-low, and considering different scenarios of electrical installations of each facility as well as workers’ skills. Mandatory and complementing training, occupational health certificate, as well as the authorization process and criteria are critical success factors for the effectiveness of controls as well as a reference to the framework and consequent payment or not of the additional income payment for electrical risk exposure
