This dissertation aims to study soybean transportation costs in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, from main producing regions to Rio Grande Harbor - RS. The methodology was a survey of the different modes and mapping of the main producing regions. With this data, were surveyed the transportation costs in different modes, or integration of modes, assessing unit costs, in each of these different possibilities and for each of the established regions. As the main result, it was discovered that although river and rail modes have lower operating costs they are not reflected in lower rates. Thus, soybean transportation through road has the lowest cost.UNISINOS - Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos
