Descripción
This work is in the context of the next line of research: Education, Development and Technology, from the Graduate Program in Education of Vale do Rio dos Sinos University (UNISINOS), and it aimed to understand whether and how digital technologies contribute to an emancipatory vocational training for students of Electronics from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí - Teresina Central Campus. For this purpose, the research addressed concepts such as: Technique and Technology, Vocational Education, Competence and Emancipation. The study of these concepts and their application in the development of the research was made possible through dialogue with authors such as Harvey (1992), Kuenzer (1997), Schwartz (2007) , Duarte (2008), Grinspun (2009), Castells (2011), Frigotto (1995), Cunha (2002), Lima Filho (2007), Sancho (2006), Lopes (2010), Pinto (2005) and Santos (2006). To outline the methodology used, I have sought support in the theories of Chizzotti (2006), Minayo (2011), Malheiros (2011) and Gil (2008). The research is exploratory in nature and it involves qualitative data analysis through a case study, comprising the steps of literature review, document analysis, narrative research, questionnaire and interview. They are used in document analysis, institutional documents related to vocational including the Electronics course and, in semi-structured interviews, students of the last module of this course. From comprehensive reflections, it was established that digital technologies, if used properly within educational environments, can effectively contribute to an emancipatory vocational training, and in collaborative virtual context, knowledge and use of these technologies by students, even dissociated form of institutional curriculum can foster greater participation of them in the construction of knowledge.Nenhuma
