Professores e o sindicalismo público municipal: algumas experiências em destaque: São Leopoldo e Bagé, RS (1988-2005)

Abstract

This dissertation studies the municipal unions, representative questioning the duplicity that has emerged in many localities, especially in relation to the category of teachers. Examines the organizational structure of the labor union system and analyzes, through the case study, the unions of the cities of Sao Leopoldo and Bage, in the period between 1988 and 2005. Include legal and structural changes occurring in the union movement after the promulgation of the 1988 Constitution, trying to discern how the frame was received by teachers new regulatory provisions. Through the methodology of oral history, together with the analysis of the documentation of unions, we investigated the organization of teachers as well as the identity issue of teachers in these municipalities.
