Olhares sobre uma cobertura: a eleição de 2002 para o governo do Paraná em três jornais locais

Abstract

This thesis invited the journalists that worked covering Paraná government election of 2002 to talk about the experience, exercising a reflexion concerning their routines and work conditions. They were also encouraged to give an opinion about some major journalism themes, for example, objectivity, exemption, press freedom and the role that journalists have in the society. By activating the memories of a professional category whose activity is permanently pressured by time, this thesis attempts to innovate the methodology in studies about noticiability and journalistic coverages. This research tries to understand why the readers of the newspapers O Estado do Paraná, Gazeta do Povo and Folha de Londrina received the informations published during the campaign, although it is not made an analysis of the journalistic products.
