Reconfiguração organizacional da UNISINOS: modelo estratégico x modelo Jesuíta de Universidade: ambigüidades e desvios

This thesis, at a wide view, is about the organization’s refitting to contemporary societal changes and, at a strict view, deals with the strategic model of university adapted by Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS) during its strategic planning. The relevance of this study is the novelty of a Brazilian private and Jesuit university adopting the methodology of strategic planning to deliberate about its future. The intent is to help understand the chosen new model of university organization in comparison to the Jesuit university model, using Max Weber’s ideal type methodology. Through this methodology it is attempted to determine the deviation of the strategic model implemented from the Jesuit model of university. It is evident that UNISINOS significantly moved away from the Jesuit model and drew nearer to the market-oriented model. That is the result of the neoliberalistic doctrine adoption, which is incompatible with Jesuit’s principles, and leads the university to association with the continuouBolsa para curso e programa de Pós Graduação
