Políticas de austeridade na educação básica: um estudo das percepções de professores de uma escola estadual no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

At time of profound social changes in Brazilian society and consequently in Public Policies, it is necessary to analyze and understand the impacts they have on society as a whole. In this sense, this dissertation is the result of a long research work that seeks to present, through a case study, a sociological analysis regarding the perception of teachers at a state public school that make up the state education network in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on the impacts that public education policies have on the so-called street-level bureaucracy and consequently on the way these teachers carry out their teaching work in a scenario of dismantling in the different spheres that make up public education in Brazil. This Dissertation also includes a sociological analysis of the processes involving austerity policies, bringing as an example the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution 241 / Constitutional Amendment 95 and its more concrete impacts on Brazilian basic public education.
