Flora is a device that assists the cultivation of houseplants. It consists of soil moisture, temperature and light sensors, and microcontroller that monitor the health of the plant. The system is designed to guide the user in the care of the plant's health and watering, using the user's perception together with an expert system algorithm to improve the device itself. Flora also has a localized irrigation system in case of emergencies, but the system focuses on user interaction with the care of the plant. The use of the expert system aims the data used to be optimized and revised, considering the individuality of the plant, the habits of the tutor and the environment in which both are found, thus creating a particular intelligence focused on the user and his plant, making possible in the future the construction of a health database of domestic plants, regarding the sensors used. The device was tested and successfully delivered for its purpose, a purpose that was re-signified throughout the research.
