The sprinkler system is a fire prevention measure which has the intention to protect lives and the property, presenting the advantage of work without human intervention. Works controlling the fire or suppressing him, and has a great effectiveness for the proposed purposes, as demonstrated in different researches. For buildings without material storage, the ABNT NBR 10.897:2020 show us the minimum necessary requirements to the sprynkler system, from the hazards until the calculations. Although, if the building has storage, you should consult the ABNT NBR 16.981:2021, which serves as a complemente of the previous NBR. The storage areas require a closer analysis, since the stacking of goods increase the amount of materials in the same place, consequently, the released energy potential on a burning. The ABNT NBR 16.981:2021 show differents types of sprinklers with its proper characteristics and restrictions to be used on this areas, that have flow and operation pressure for each height of the building and the storage. To do this review, seven sheds will be considered, Where the same type of material will be stored and the same storage method, with different heights and type of sprinkler, that will be justified. It was observed after this study that, there are transition heights, in other words, from that point to above, change the prevention requirements, becoming stricter, resulting in a more expensive system. It was also concluded that the sprinklers system is very sensitive to all its other variables.
