This master thesis is dedicated to investigating some strategies of Civil Society organized for and by the trans population of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Focusing on actions aimed at mitigating the limitations of access to health, the research resumed the histories of the emergence and performance of four organizations and collectives in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. This is collaborative qualitative research and the methodology adopted included individual interviews with the coordinators of the collectives, based on a previously developed semi-structured script, its audio recording and literal transcription. The discourse analysis of the French school was used as an approach for the analysis of the speeches. This work is divided into three parts: the first, re-presentation of the research project previously qualified and accepted by the Ethics Committee of the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos; the second is the report of the research carried out, with the presentation of the methodological path built and the sharing of some reflections about the research and the field; and the third consists of an article that aims to present the relationships between NGOs and the development of public health policies on HIV/AIDS in Porto Alegre, based on the articulation of a literature review and analysis of interviews to reconstruct the process history of local politics.CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior
