Description
The Russian-Ukrainian war, in addition to large-scale war conflicts, provoked clashes in the media, cultural, political, economic spheres, among others. The proposal of this dissertation is to comprehend how this dispute of meanings about the war took place in the Brazilian context- marked by deep historical and ideological questions, as political discourse and the anticommunism that updates itself. Thereby, the question of this research sets up in this way: How the dispute of meanings about the Russian-Ukrainian war occurs under the Brazilian ideological and sociocultural perspective, from the Imaginary, Real and Symbolic dimensions? Through the ambience of mediatization, this study is guided by the objective of investigating the meaning disputes in the circulation underlying the posts referring to the Russian-Ukrainian war on Twitter, focusing the ideological clashes and the Brazilian sociocultural context. The theoretical discussion, brings, as the main frameworks: the triad Imaginary, Real and Symbolic (LACAN, 2009), applied to the mediatized semiosis (FERREIRA, 2016); the relation between media and social imaginary (ROSA, 2019a), in circulation (FAUSTO NETO, 2008); symbolic conflict; derealization (SODRÉ, 2021) and euphemization; problematization of the Russian-Ukrainian war as a mediatized conflict. The corpora of observables are composed of three set of posts from Twitter profiles, including comments/ responses: Set 1- apparitions of the soviet flag on the battlefield; Set 2 – the character of Vladimir Putin associated with the soviet past; Set 3 – reports of Mariupol siege, including associations of Azov battalion to the Nazism. The research object was approached from abductive, deductive and indictive inferential movements, besides the reflection of evidentiary paradigm and mediatized case. To analyze the observables, a methodological experimentation which works the circulation as value assignments operations, between production and recognition, in the Imaginary, Real and Symbolic dimensions was built. Among the results, we can highlight the finding that the incoming images and reports of the war have a great power of mobilization, however the retroaction about the discussion regarding the war through the social tissue, the conflicts that are occurring in other circuits are equally relevant. The operations of debating agents mobilize social imaginaries, bringing unpredictability to circulation, overflowing the meanings, with recontextualizations and assemblages.CNPQ – Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico
