Tratados, tributos e tratantes (1808-1817): navegando, arruando e cavalgando pelos caminhos atlânticos do lusobritânico Henry Koster, nas capitanias de Pernambuco.
This report addresses aspects of the Luso-Brazilian Henry Koster and his itinerary in the captaincies of Pernambuco in the early19th century, as well as the vision of organic intellectuals of historical Capitalism and their power projects during the formation of the Brazilian nationality and its identities. Methodologically, we tried to interact in an interdisciplinary way, that is, analyzing the historiography and texts from related areas - among the authors who helped in the composition of our narrative, Giovanni Arrighi, Immanuel Wallerstein, Antonio Gramsci and Peter Burke deserve to be highlighted. As subsidiary material, we provide a booklet on Henry Koster and his adventures, attached as Appendix I.
Furthermore, our research served as the basis for the making of a product, that is, a playful historical-iconographic set, captained by a board game. Thus, in order to unite playfulness with information relevant to the historical development of Pernambuco, in addition to texts, we make use of resources such as maps, engravings, paintings and other artistic elements. The product is aimed mainly at young students between the ages of 14 and 18, however it can be used by a broader audience, such as History graduates.
