It was determined the effect of having an increase on the activity of glutamate dehydrogenase in serum over a group of lO university students, who don't have background neither diabetes nor diseases that carrying to a decrease or an in crease of the blood glutamate dehydrogenase. The students group ranges about 18 and 28 years old.It was applied a basal determination of glutamate dehydrogenase and glucose in serum to the patients. Then, an oral do se of75 g. of glucose dissolved in water was provided to them. Final! y, during 2 hours · and intervals of 30 minutes it was determinated the circulating levels of the enzyme and sugar. From the analyzed results through the "CHI CUADRADO" (X2) test, estimated an increase in the concentration of glucose produces a variation in the activity ofthe glutamate dehydrogenase in opposite proportion, that is, by increasing the concentration of glucose in the blood decreases the enzyme activity. The maximum of loss of the enzyme activity happened as follows: 2 patients, after 30 minutes; 2 patients, after 60 minutes; 1 patient, after 90 minutes and 5 patients, after 120 minutesspa
