The integral formation of the First Grade students of elementary school in the Ignatian perspective is the research theme of this work. Therefore, we decided to reflect on the following problem: how can pedagogical practices contribute to the integral formation of the First Grade children of elementary school from the Ignatian perspective? The theoretical elements of the study are supported by Klein (2014), Delors (1998), Soares (2004), Tfouni (2010) Moran (2015), among others. The research has a qualitative approach and, regarding the objectives, it is characterized as exploratory. Bibliographic research and records of the readings performed were used. It was possible to identify that the practices carried out by teachers for the integral formation of the First Grade students of elementary school need to consider the student's role through innovative practices. In addition, the resources and activities used by children need a pedagogical intention, with the specificity of being adapted to match student's learning needs. It is important to highlight that schools in the Rede Jesuíta de Educação seek strategies to ensure the development of children and teachers, to research and reflect on their practices according to Ignatian pedagogy. Therefore, children need to participate in moments in which they can express themselves freely, through motivating experiences, such as group activities and games, among others, that allow the student’s integral development.en
