Environmental preservation is one of the most discussed topics today, as the world will continue to increase production, because there is a need to feed people in a sustainable way. It is known that agribusiness is a burden due to its need for expansion. Faced with these needs, the rural company needs to adapt to the legislation and adhere to good environmental practices, thus environmental management needs to be a means used. The research problem proposed was how the rural businessman can use the means of legal management in an efficient way to avoid civil liability for environmental damage? The main hypothesis is to know the most efficient management instruments and, among them, to adopt the best model. Given the research problem, the general objective of this study is to analyze the most effective means of efficient legal management to prevent the risk of environmental damage in agribusiness companies. It is well known that every producer is aware of the care that must be taken with the environment when developing his activity, and is equally concerned with its preservation, and, in view of this concern, legal environmental management can protect the producer and ensure that he achieves sustainable economic development, using the Good Agricultural Practices, the ESG System or another means of management that is legally appropriate for his production. The study was conducted through bibliographic review research, of the analytical and deductive type, based on studies contemplated by various understandings, establishing a parameter between the legislations that regulate environmental issues, the liability of legal entities for environmental damage, analysis of the conduct of the environmental legal manager, which culminated in the preparation of a booklet demonstrating the importance of legal management of the rural company, indicating some of the models that can be used in this management and whom the rural producer can look for so that this management can be done efficiently.en
