Da sintaxe intencional à semântica mental
Description
This thesis is an investigation into the evolutionary path between the physicalchemical world and the human mind, between the syntax of intentionality and the semantics of mentality, between the relationship between the body and the mind. For this, we will use the theoretical conceptual of the philosophers Daniel Dennett and John Searle, especially their formulations on intentionality and intentional systems. Despite the difference between the two thinkers, we will show the points of contact in this topic. The problem is to seek to understand the relationship between the syntax present in intentionality and the semantics existing in the mind, in other words, how matter generates mentality. The background used is the Darwinian evolutionary process and the functionality of the relationship of intentionality’s to produce mental states. The objective is to investigate the development from the first intentionality, which we believe arose randomly from a physics-chemical combination to the origin of mentality, passing through the passages and evolutions in the various stages of the simplest life to what we consider to be the best possible combination, of intentional systems, the human mind. To develop this research, we used the concept of naturalized intentionality.Secretaria de Estado de Educação do Governo de Mato Grosso; Programa de Bolsas de Estudo Pe. Theobaldo Frantz
