Modelos de negócios para a sustentabilidade: elementos norteadores oriundos das práticas de B Corps de manufatura
Description
Sustainable business models draw on economic, social and environmental aspects in defining an organization’s value proposition, taking into account the needs of all stakeholders, not only the shareholders. By doing that, organizations may generate positive impacts to the environment and society, while obtaining competitive advantage. B Corp certification, originated in the criteria established by B Lab and aligned with to the Sustainable Development Goals, is one of the means that organizations use to validate its efforts towards this goal. Organizations that obtain B certification are known as B Corps. This thesis’ objective is to analyze the sustainable business model of Brazilian manufacturing B Corps, proposing guidelines to improve the implementation of a sustainable business model in other organizations that aim to follow this path. For that, it used the systematic literature review and the multiple case study methods. The thesis presents two articles. The first one presents a systematic literature review related to B Corps management. It identifies two distinct publication periods and four thematic groups: Legal model and governance, Entrepreneurial journey, External environment and Performance. The second article presents the development of an analysis framework, based on the scientific literature concerning sustainable business models, and its application in a multiple case study with fourteen Brazilian manufacturing B Corps. The framework has seven dimensions (Mission, Value proposition, Value creation and deliver, Value capture, Performance measurement, Governance and Relation with the ecosystem) that guide the analysis of the sustainable business model implementation in the selected organizations. From this analysis, it proposes eleven guidelines to the implementation of sustainable business models in organizations that aim to follow this path.Nenhuma
