dc.description.abstract | The present research is related to the continuity of activities carried out in a
public museum facility – the Museum of Porto Alegre Joaquim Felizardo (MPJF) –
during the period of quarantine imposed by the coronavirus (COVID-19). It aims to
list guidelines, general guidelines and strategies for municipal museums in their
activities at the time of a pandemic, in the face of the challenges caused by social
distancing measures to contain the virus, taking as a case study the MPJF, which is
based in an architectural cultural heritage listed by the Municipality of Porto Alegre,
Solar Lopo Gonçalves. Of an exploratory qualitative nature, the research method
investigates the solutions that some international and national reference museums
have implemented to maintain their activities in a time of pandemic, in order to
demonstrate the measures adopted, comparing them with those implemented in the
museum. Through spatial syntax tools, the research also seeks to contribute to a
proposal that could help the case study to distribute the flow of visitors in the
pandemic and in the post-pandemic period. | en |
