São as formigas operárias que fazem a opulência do formigueiro: representações acerca do Hospital de alienados da Tamarineira na imprensa pernambucana (1931-1935).
In this report, we exposed part of our research about the Hospital of Tamarineira, aiming to anchor the making of the product with educational purposes. Fundamentally, we expected to analyze some of the representations found in Pernambucos' press, highlighting newspapers such as "A Província" "Diário de Pernambuco" and "Jornal Pequeno" through the years of 1931 and 1935. Briefly, we brought up some news excerpts printed on the before-mentioned gazettes, as well as inferences about them to contribute to the elucidation of the Asylum's, which is known as "Tamarineira" due to the neighborhood where it is located, historical aspects. The chosen time frame refers to the hospital's "restoration" process led by Doctor Ulysses Pernambucano. Methodologically, besides the journalistic sources, we relied on historical theorists, for example, Tânia Regina de Luca, Michel Foucault, and Roger Chartier, as much as on complementary texts from history and other branches of knowledge. As indicated, with this interdisciplinary research, we developed an electronic textbook preferably destined for history majors. We emphasize that our contribution is elementary and aimed at assisting in more detailed studies of the researched object.
