| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to analyze and observe the phenomenon of intermidiality of contemporary Brazilian visual poetry, between social networks and books, and the particularities of the formal aspects of this poetic genre. The internet and the culture of cyberspace have taken on more and more space in postmodern society. In Brazil, it is possible to observe the exponential growing of the online life among users from different regions. In this context, the appearance of authorial literary profiles has been increasingly frequent, especially on social networks. New authors of national poetry with strong visual characteristics have used online platforms as a resource for disseminating their work, reaching millions of followers. With their readers already conquered in the digital universe, these authors receive invitations from major publishers to transform their works – previously just on digital media – into printed books. This contemporary Brazilian visual poetry seems to move with similar popularity between the online and offline worlds, participating of them both, without belonging to either, staying in a constant space-in-between. For this reason, we will analyze in this work what we will call the phenomenon of the intermidiality of contemporary Brazilian visual poetry, between social networks and books. We intend to analyze the beginning of this phenomenon and what it reveals about a generation of readers and new authors in Brazil. We will also observe the reworkings that the contemporary visual poetry genre between social networks and books has experienced from the significant changes in support, between the material and digital ones. In methodological terms, this analysis will be based on the observation of three selected author poetry profiles. We propose to identify its compositional, thematic and stylistic characteristics, based on the studies of discursive genres, intermidiality and dialogism, with special focus on the author-reader interaction on social networks, and the massive sharing of this environment. We will start, at first, having a look at the poetic word and its unfolding, going through concepts of concrete poetry, digital literature and visual poetry, until we reach our focus, on the contemporary Brazilian visual poetry between networks and books, and its generating phenomenon. The methodology to be developed in this research work will have a qualitative and descriptive character of analysis. As a result of this study, we hope to see that this phenomenon has revealed the emergence of a discursive genre, with particular characteristics, in Brazilian literature. We also hope to be able to discuss the spaces where this way of writing can lead to the democratization of art, with a great incidence in education and literacy, also pointing to the emergence of a new generation of authors and readers, both stimulated by a great diffusion of national poetry, that came from digital spaces to bookstores. | eng |
