Plants of the genus Salicornia have been used by humans since ancient times, both as food and in traditional medicine. These plants are responsible for biological activities, such as antioxidants, antihyperlipidemic, antihyperglycemic, antiproliferative, antifungal, antibacterial and modulating the immune system. However, the species Salicornia ramosissima is little known. This project aims to evaluate the effect of the association of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi - FMA originating from the Bank of Spores of the Laboratory of Soil Biology - IPA in the development of Salicornia sp. submitted to five levels of salinity. The experiment will be conducted in conditions in vegetation house, at the Agronomic Institute of Pernambuco - IPA, Recife, Pernambuco. The plant in question is distributed on all continents and presents several utilities, being these medicinal properties, pharmacological, bioactive compounds, and even a nutritional benefit as a gourmet. Its adaptation to saline environments allows cost reduction to neutralize the salinity problem associated to FMA. In the production of vegetable seedlings, polyethylene vase with eight liters of soil should be used from the IPA Experimental Station, in the city of São Bento do Una, Pernambuco. The daily waterings will be with saline water to complement the water lost by evapotranspiration in order to maintain soil moisture. At the end, the data obtained in the laboratory analyzes were submitted to the individual and joint statistical analysis, indicating that the intermediate doses (Reject + 14 NaCl, Electrical Conductivity (EC) = 13,744 μS ̸ cm2), in the non-autoclaved soil, in the absence of fungus and nutrient solution were the most adequate for the development of Salicornia.eng
