The present work aimed to evaluate experimentally the adhesion capacity of coatings made with gypsum paste, considering different substrates. In the research was used a type of plaster classified as plaster for coating. As variables, four types of blocks (non-structural ceramic blocks, structural ceramic blocks, non-structural concrete blocks and structural concrete blocks) were tested, two types of cut in the coating to fix the specimen (cut to the substrate and superficially) and three heights of plaster application (0 to 0.6m, 0.6m to 1.2m and 1.2m to 1.8m). The evaluated response variable was the tensile strength. Considering the four bases used, the structural concrete block presented the best adhesion strength results, followed by the non-structural concrete block. As for the ceramic blocks, the non-structural was the one that presented better result in comparison with the structural ceramic block.
