| dc.description | The sociocultural construction of romantic love is intertwined with beliefs such as: love can do it all, the test of love, jealousy is a sign of love, among others. Implicitly, through these beliefs, a model of love is assumed dismissing and justifying manifestations of violence in relationships. The objective of this research was to analyze the beliefs of romantic love in a group of adolescents for the prevention of intimate partner violence. A 4-phase research-action design was used: planning, action, observation and reflection. The findings helped us to conclude that the participatory intervention contributed to the critical analysis and reflection of the relationship between the romantic love model and the presence of violence in relationships. The participation of the group allowed the appropriation of the content and empowerment of adolescents to visualize themselves as possible agents of change to replicate and share their learning with other adolescents. | en-US |
| dc.description | El propósito de esta investigación fue modificar las creencias del amor romántico de un grupo de adolescentes para prevenir la violencia en las relaciones amorosas. El artículo hace visible cómo, a través del amor romántico, se justifica y tolera la violencia en las relaciones de pareja. Se trata de una intervención participativa con un grupo de adolescentes para reflexionar sobre la díada amor romántico y violencia. La metodología fue cualitativa y se utilizó el diseño investigación-acción, compuesto por cuatro fases: planificación, acción, observación y reflexión. Los resultados indican que trabajar desde un enfoque participativo permite a los adolescentes generar cambios significativos de las percepciones, creencias y significados que tenían sobre el amor de pareja, noviazgo y la violencia. La conclusión revela que los adolescentes son capaces de modificar sus creencias a partir de intervenciones que favorezcan una reflexión informada. | es-ES |
