dc.description.abstract | This work aims to analyse the impact of the implementation of the Quality System in School Management (SQGE) in two schools of the Jesuit Basic Education Network (RJE) in terms of the managers conception of school quality and the improvement actions adopted to reach the objectives of integral formation of Jesuit Education. The research was carried out at the schools Loyola, located in Belo Horizonte, and Medianeira, located in Curitiba, both belonging to the RJE. The methodology adopted was qualitative, using documental analysis and semi-structured interviews with academic directors, the coordinator of Christian/pastoral Formation and the unit/segment coordinators of each school; the data were analysed by content analysis. Among the main findings stand out the managers’ conception of school quality, in which the dynamic and polysemous nature of the concept of quality is perceived as theorized by researchers used in the theoretical framework; the discontinuous way of implementing the quality system in schools, due to the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, but also to the turnover in management positions; the ongoing actions in the schools aimed at the qualification of educational proposals by SQGE, with emphasis on the challenge of better definition of the expected learning; and finally the aspects that need to be better thought out and executed, both in the implementation of projects of this nature as in the execution of the educational proposal for better fulfilment of the institutional educational purposes. At the end, this work presents recommendations regarding these qualification possibilities, aimed at the institution management main bodies. | en |
