dc.description.abstract | The urbanization process, which replaces natural systems, altering the
landscape for the construction of cities, causes problems to the functioning of
ecosystems and to the quality of people's lives. As an alternative to such impacts, the
concept of a green infrastructure network emerges, a topic addressed by this
research, considered the state of the art of ecological landscape planning. This
system is composed of natural and semi-natural places interconnected with each
other from rural areas to intra-urban spaces, organized in order to provide ecosystem
services. The aim of the present research was to identify strategies for the
elaboration of a planning at the municipal level of a green infrastructure network,
having as a case study the Municipality of Osório/RS. To this end, the methodology
adopted consisted of a review the regulations contained in the relevant planning
instruments, through the use of the Worksheet for Review of Municipal Codes and
Ordinances, developed by the Center for Watershed Protection. As a result, a
mapping of the stages and application of the plans involved was developed, linked to
nine planning categories related to the ten places that make up the typology of the
green infrastructure network. | en |
