dc.description.abstract | Based on ANEEL Normative Resolution 733/2016, the new tariff modality for
low voltage consumers, called White Tariff, was instituted, which entered into force
on January 1, 2018, as an option for units with higher or lower consumption. equal to
500 kWh / month, expected to be available to all consumers from January 2020. A
pertinent question then arises for consumers who fall under the program: How to
know if the consumer will benefit from joining this new tariff modality? This paper
aims to describe the development of a simulation tool to assist the consumer in this
decision making. This tool was developed using Microsoft Excel® software and
Python programming language. The developed solution receives the user's
consumption information and calculates this consumer's invoice value for both white
and conventional tariffs. If adherence to the white tariff has greater financial
advantage, the percentage of savings is presented to the consumer, otherwise it is
indicated to make changes in consumption habits, changing the time of use of certain
equipment. The graphs of the daily consumption load curve are shown without
change, and with change in the load utilization time. Three consumption profiles were
analyzed using the developed tool. Case A presented a savings percentage of 4.7%
using the white rate after the modification of the time of use of certain equipment.
Case B presented a savings percentage of 3.1% without the need for load
reallocation. Case C showed no savings using the white tariff. The developed tool
presented easy communication with the user, and proved efficient to help him to
decide on the change in his tariff modality. | en |
