dc.description.abstract | Faced with a scenario where there are several technologies and innovations, as
Brazilian industries need to reinvent themselves to maintain their position in the market,
especially in relation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In light of this, this paper aims
to answer the research question about how open innovation can be applied as Brazilian
industries advance towards industry 4.0, aiming to present the results and obtain
origins of connecting industries with startups, seen as open innovation, for the
development of new ways of working and innovation. For this, studies were deepened
in relation to open innovation, startups and industry 4.0 and the technical procedure of
case study with an exploratory nature was used. The case analyzed was that of the
National Startup Industry 4.0 Connection Program (PNCSI) of the Brazilian Agency for
Industrial Development (ABDI), which provided a connection between 30 industries
and 59 startups to carry out proof of concept (POCs). The main impacts perceived by
industries and startups were carried out, and the researcher also identified the
exploratory nature with 2 industries and 2 startups participating in the program, in order
to further deepen the analysis in relation to a connection that corroborates the 4.0
model. The main results observed were that a connection helps as industries in the
path of the 4.0 model and that, in order to obtain better results against the connection,
the industry maturity and the startup maturity must be considered critically. This study
has contributions to industries and startups that aim to carry out transactions and
partnerships for solutions to technological demands and needs. | en |
