The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of the use of Data Science tools on the performance of news monitoring processes, from the perspective of the Constructal Theory. The research meets the requirements of a case study, in which the activities of a large company are analyzed, which provides market monitoring services to several organizations from different segments. The data used in the study were collected through observations of the processes and interviews with professionals from the analyzed company. The open questions prepared for the interviews were validated by a specialist in the area, as well as the research question that guides this study. The results obtained suggest that the information monitoring processes obey the concepts of the Constructal Theory, as it is a moving system, composed of flows that transform over time, seeking patterns that allow it to flow more easily. In this way, the application of Constructal Design in these processes is capable of resulting in greater flow of information, assisting in the improvement and quality of deliveries and, consequently, in achieving the goals established by the organization. The findings of this study indicate that there is a possibility of improvements in the processes and that the good use of Data Science tools for the automation of specific steps, which could boost the results. However, there are still restrictions that would need to be overcome to make this a reality in the company.en
