This study aims to analyze how the cultural intelligence influences the inclusion of gender diversity in the SAP Company, a leading multinational company in the information technology market, in its research and development laboratories located in São Leopoldo, Brazil and Bangalore, India. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with some members of the existing diversity group in the company that focuses on gender intelligence topics in the two locations, the Business Women's Network. In addition, the theoretical basis of this study was accomplished through available literature, articles, studies and web sites research regarding gender diversity topic, Culture and Cultural Intelligence. The main authors of this study were Rocha and Luz (2011), Hofstede (1991) and Livermore (2012). A multi-case study was carried out, developing a research characterized as exploratory, where a content analysis was performed based on qualitative data collected through interviews and document analysis. Through the interviews with the members of the BWN group, the aspects that shape the culture of the company’s location in comparison to the culture of its country were perceived, as well as identifying in which way the participants act in intercultural situations. In this way, it was observed that all interviewees have cultural intelligence skills developed in the four dimensions proposed by Livermore (2012) – Motivational IC, Cognitive IC, Metacognitive IC and Behavioral IC – and these positively impact on the gender diversity inclusion in an environment hegemonically dominated by the male sex. As future research suggestions, it is indicated the study of the IC influence in other areas of the company and/or other locations, the relationship of this theory with other SAP diversity groups and the application of this study to other companies that share the same scenario.en
