dc.description.abstract | The Shor’s Algorithm is an important quantum algorithm that is present in the basis of many researches that deal with the impact of quantum computing on the RSA encryption algorithm. Through its use, and in an appropriate environment, this algorithm is able to solve the problem of prime factorization, putting the RSA algorithm at risk, which uses this problem to structure the public key. The learning about this algorithm can bring students closer to research involving the progress of quantum computing over RSA. However, it is noted that most of the resources available for the study of the Shor’s Algorithm involve, mainly, the reading of body texts, or models that approach the algorithm from a very technical perspective, without presenting a pedagogical method that proposes a better access to it. Given this scenario, the present article aims to promote a pedagogical methodology for the presentation of the Shor’s Algorithm to beginners. The methodology used is a web platform, which presents an educational step-bystep, with fixation exercises, providing user interactivity with the application. It was found that the platform was efficient and effective in introducing the Shor’s Algorithm to beginners, but that one can improve the approach on some of the steps of the algorithm. The article favors research that deals with the advancement of quantum computing over RSA because it is able to bring academia and people from the area of computing closer to them, and thus, consequently, benefits computer science | en |
