dc.description.abstract | Competency management is a system belonging to the area of human resources management and has been identified as an alternative to the management models traditionally used by organizations. Its main objective is to guide efforts to plan, capture, develop and assess, at different levels of the organization, the skills necessary to achieve its goals. Within this macroprocess, one of the most relevant steps is called competency mapping. This research aims to propose a method for mapping the skills needed to occupy a position in a in a large retail bank. For this, a literature review on the concept of competence and management by Skills. This research used the Design Science Research methodology to propose a framework that makes it possible to identify the skills needed to occupy a position. The research was carried out in cyclical stages, in which at each stage the prototype of the artifact was progressively improved in successive stages, until the definition of the final artifact, presented here. We started with bibliographical research on the instruments used for the mapping of competences, and from this literature, tools that made up the first version of the framework were selected. This was evaluated by experts who contributed with criticism and suggestions, generating an improved framework. The improved framework was submitted to a focus group that carried out an experimental evaluation, and from the contributions of this group emerged the final framework that is the main objective of this research. | en |
