This study proposes to investigate elements of the culture and leadership of Santa Teresinha School and analyze their repercussions on the institution’s management strategies. The context of the loss of students in the last three decades and the institution’s recent resumption of growth gave rise to interest in the study. The theoretical framework used deals with concepts such as leadership skills (Schein, Libâneo, Cabral and Seminotti and Lück), cultural values (Schein, Libâneo and Lück), people management (Dutra and Chiavenato) and pedagogical and administrative management (Libâneo, Paro and Lück). The study had a qualitative approach using quanti-quali data and adopted the case study as a research strategy. The data were collected through the application of three instruments: document analysis, focus group and questionnaire. The qualitative data were analyzed using Bardin and Minayo’s content analysis. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequencies and percentages. The integrated discussion of quanti-quali data allowed a comprehensive view of the studied reality, considering the perspectives of different data sources: documents, collaborators, graduated and transferred former students. The results obtained allow us to identify the main changes related to culture and leadership, to pedagogical and administrative management in the last three decades and to propose leadership development strategies for improvements in school management.Nenhuma
