Engajamento e participação nas assembleias: uma análise das relações entre uma cooperativa de crédito e seus associados
Description
The democratic participation of members is the best known feature of cooperativism and is what mainly distinguishes cooperatives from traditional companies (ACI, 2015). While participation is the main differential, it is also a great challenge. Thus, this research is a case study that aims to analyze the relationship between the engagement of members and participation in the assemblies of the cooperative Sicredi União Metropolitana RS. For this, the study was carried out in two stages, the first with a quantitative characteristic, where the engagement scale proposed by Vivek (2009) was used. The second stage, of a qualitative nature, sought to deepen the theme and understand the relationships between the cooperative and its members. The results show that the greater the participation, the greater the engagement of members with the cooperative, and the greater the effects of this relationship, which are evidenced through consequent dimensions and higher indexes of NPS – Net Promoter Score. Thus, this study offers an opportunity for managers responsible for the topic to analyze the participation of members in their assemblies, exploring the factors that can generate an increase in the engagement of their members, in addition to enabling better knowledge about their experiences. It can also help other cooperatives to assess their practices, in addition to providing a benchmark.Nenhuma
