dc.description.abstract | The appreciation of the human being in the companies and especially for leadership by his role as agent of change, with its inspiring vision capable of leading their followers towards common objectives is a strategic issue on the agenda of organizations. The use of executive development tools such as coaching and mentoring, growing in popularity in organizations with a view to the development of behavioral competences of these professionals. Accordingly, the present research aimed to analyze the trajectory of development of leadership competences for technical profile manager at the company STIHL, through the use of coaching and mentoring. The research analysis was done using the techniques of content analysis and triangulation of data. The case study sought to answer the following research problem: how does the development of leadership competences in a technical manager of STIHL, from using the tools of coaching and mentoring? As a result of the survey showed that: i) the evaluation performed before and after the applied of coaching and mentoring has shown an evolution of the development of leadership competences of technical manager, according to the coach / mentor and their subordinates; ii) the perception and opinion formally certified by the coach / mentor, corroborates and confirms the use of coaching and mentoring as a practice of developing leadership competences; iii) the reaction of respondents to the technical manager team seem to value the possibility of using the coaching and mentoring as people management tools. Understanding the process of developing the leadership competences of a technical manager for the applied of coaching and mentoring has validated the importance of companies investing in people management, enhancing the emotional intelligence of their professional combining technical and behavioral competences. | pt_BR |
