This article analyzes the problem of reconciling work and family in a bank branch in Porto Alegre. The study consisted in obtaining an overview of ergonomic work organization. We analyzed the Climate Researches applied both at the agency and in the staff of the bank, to assist in identifying the most critical points. As a participatory tool in finding solutions and improvements, it was applied the diagnostic tool Déparis. It has been found that improvements relating to the physical environment and procedures are easily deployed and can be administered by an agency. However, there is an urgent need to pay attention to the psychological and organizational factors.
