The research sought to investigate techniques of 3D scanning of low complexity, in built environments and works in progress, using cameras of mobile devices, due to their practicality and ease of operation to assist the control and monitoring of work execution. Two experiments and a practical application of 3D scanning techniques were carried out using mobile devices. In the first experiment, 3D scanning techniques were performed in a built environment, using a smartphone and tablet with infrared structured light depth sensor, where they were compared to traditional measurement techniques (laser tape and total station). In the second, surveys were carried out on a work in progress, capturing images through different mobile devices, and that through digital terrestrial photogrammetry techniques, clouds of points were generated, which captured the real scenario of the work, in each of the visits made. The generated clouds were analyzed taking into account their visual quality, accuracy and computational cost of processing. The practical application refers to the use of 3D scanning for reality capture, generating point clouds, which integrated into the 3D BIM model of the work, allowed measurements of progress of works. The use of Digital Terrestrial Photogrammetry through mobile devices proved to be accessible to 3D scanning on construction sites, does not require great investment in equipment and software, and proved promising to support the monitoring routines of works that do not require data with high detail and dimensional accuracy, that is, low complexity 3D scans.en
