dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to analyze the perception of leaders about organizational practices in public banks from Rio Grande do Sul, which generates the development of an intrapreneurial environment. The research was developed with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Leaders of the banking sector at professional activity in southern Brazil responded to the Corporate Entrepreneurship Assessment Instrument (CEAI - KURATKO; HORNSBY; COVIN, 2014), which was complemented with two open questions about the practical perception which enhance and weaken the intrapreneurship. Adding the qualitative information, and also a conducted interview with a corporate education manager from one of the researched institutions. The quantitative data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data was applied by content analysis. Among the main results, it is highlighted the dimensions reward/ reinforcement and discretion at work were the most recognized by leaders in organizational practices which improve intrapreneurial activities. Even with good results, these dimensions demonstrate opportunities to expand autonomy for decisions related to ideas and to diversify rewards/reinforcements for long-term projects. These long-term projects enable improvements and/or innovations for the business. Management support was recognized, but with a result without prominence. The leaders perceive the empowerment to develop their ideas with weaknesses factors related to institutional support and investment for their continuity. The greatest opportunities are related to the availability of time and organizational limits. The organizational environment in the banking sector can be characterized by many specifications job. This dynamism inhibits the adaptation of routines and the essential flexibility to improve the organizational conditions preceding intrapreneurship. The study presents its limits in relation to different characteristics of the researched banking institutions, futher more can be a topic for future research. | en |
