dc.description.abstract | This research is part of a study in the field of communication and politics, focusing on the potential uses of the Mudamos mean. Our emphasis is on the mediatization perspective, based on the concepts of device (FERREIRA, 2007, 2016a), circuits (BRAGA, 2012, 2017a) and circuit-means (FERREIRA, 2016a). The central questions of this research are the following: What are the directions of the Mudamos means-application, considering its architecture and the possibilities of actions by users? The directions proposed by the Mudamos Application correspond to the promise that this mean strengthens participatory democracy? Throughout the development of this research, to understand and answer our questions, we start from the following preliminary proposition: The Mudamos - announced as an application of democratic participation in the political space - is configured in a space that allows an individualist participation in politics. This proposition is presented and discussed through inferential operations explained in this paper. The method adopted to conduct this research is subsidized in the abductive, inductive and deductive arguments, which complement each other, but also differ from their specific inferential operations (FERREIRA, 2012). Based on the method adopted, we made a descriptive visit to the application, establishing some deductive inferences in agreement with the proposition of this dissertation. And finally, we present the inferential operations (metaphors, “metáporas”, analogies and diagrams) that contributed to think about the Mudamos before the tension between democracy and individualism; participation and interaction; connection and loneliness. | en |
