The strategic actions applied in supply chain, concerning to materials acquisition, represent an important way to obtain competitive advantage. The aim of this study is to propose the deployment of Materials Strategic Positioning Matrix (MSPM) at ABC Footwear. The methodology used was a study of case at a footwear industry plant, searching for the creation of implementation procedures of MSPM, as well as the benefits resulting from its application, as a form of contribution in raising the level of competitiveness by adding value and improving the profitability of companies.
